Would God make me take a job I don't want just to pay the rent?

I don't want to be a painter where i have to offer "fringe benefits" to adults, besides painting. I want just a normal job. But what if I don't have patience with customers or the boss is really annoying or the pay is really low? What do I do then? What do YOU think?
