Is it possible to fall in love again?

This probably sounds depressing/emo, but I mean it in the most sincere way. I am honestly curious about it. I know that it is possible to have feelings, feel attraction, and love a person again. But can you truly and deeply fall in love again - just the way you did with your first love? Does that deep affection only happen once and nothing else can compare to it although your mind and heart is open to it? Again, I know you can love a person again, but can you really fall IN love? I am currently suffering tremendously because I've lost my very first love. It is so unbelievably painful, much more forceful than I imagined, and I am trying my best to stay positive.
