Carrying on with my evolution question for married people, I also wonder?
There is some research to support the link between "pheromonal" attraction and genetic diversity... Personally, I think there's so much more to choosing a mate than pheromones; my husband and I have no animal attraction whatsoever, but I feel extremely confident that he will pass extremely good genes to our offspring - and, what's even more, that he will be an excellent father. Don't forget that a lot of advantages that a growing organism gets come not from genetics, but from EPIgenetics (i.e., not just what genes are there, but what genes are switched on).
